Why did you join AYP?
When I moved back to Ankeny in 2004, I knew I wanted to get involved in the community but wasn’t sure how.  I met Cindy Fish from the Chamber and she recommended this new group that was getting started and was a great way for someone my age to meet new people and get involved in the community.  After checking the group out, I liked what I saw so I joined.  It has lived up to my expectations for developing business relationships and friendships, and I’ve gotten to hear some great speakers and attend some great events through AYP.

Personal Goals:
My personal goals are to travel more and to continue to be an active member of my community.

Professional Goals:
In my profession as a commercial loan officer, my goal is to help my customers succeed.  It’s fun to watch a new business succeed.  My goal is to provide the best advice I can to my customers as they enter into new ventures.

Do you live, work, or both in Ankeny?
Both

Family (can include pets, parents, plants, etc.):
It’s just me!  However, I am very lucky to in the fact that my parents and sisters live in Ankeny as well.  I have an adorable niece and nephew who I get to see all the time.

Favorite thing about Ankeny?
Ankeny is a very special community.  Its amazing how much it has grown in the past 10-15 years and somehow we’ve managed to keep that ‘community’ feeling.  I think the City, Chamber, and members of the Ankeny community have done an incredible job of welcoming people to our community and creating opportunities for them to get connected.

Favorite thing about Iowa?
I have many favorites about Iowa…the people, being close to my family & friends, the changing seasons, the fact that our cities are not over crowded, the exciting changes we get to watch take place as our cities grow, the low cost of living….the list goes on and on.
