Why did you join AYP?
In 2007, I was new to town and wanted to get involved in the community and meet new people. 

Personal Goals:
I want to push myself to run five 10k races in 2008.  I want to learn how to do some of my own home improvements.

Professional Goals:
I want to improve on my leadership abilities/motivation. I want to start a community sponsored affordable housing / rehabilitation program in Ankeny.

I live and work in Ankeny.

Family (can include pets, parents, plants, etc.):
I have a spunky chocolate lab named Coco.

    Hometown: Waverly, Iowa

    Education:
Community and Regional Planning BS from Iowa State
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Certificate from Iowa State
Currently taking classes towards a Masters in Public Administration from Drake University

    Professional Experience:
I have worked for the City of Ankeny for 1 year.
I did regional planning and grant writing in Fort Dodge for MIDAS Council of Government for 1.5 years.

Favorite thing about Ankeny?
Let me count the ways… I love my new home, all the parks, especially Crestbruck Park, the YMCA, all the young people, the proximity to Des Moines, and my job.

Favorite thing about Iowa?
The people. (I have family and friends here)
